Audio Day Parix 2024

The latest global trends in the audio-entertainment industry, the reading behavior of audiobook listeners, the upcoming irruption in the Spanish markets of children’s content listening devices, the profile of the Latino listener in the Hispanic market in the United States, as well as keys insights in audio content marketing will be part of the extensive program of topics that will be discussed in the first edition of AUDIO DAY PARIX. The first international meeting for professionals in the audio industry in Spanish, which will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the headquarters of the Germán Sánchez Ruipérez Foundation in Madrid (Casa del Lector – Matadero Madrid).

The Audio Day Parix professional meeting is an initiative of the management team of the Germán Sánchez Ruipérez Foundation (FGSR) led by Luis González, in collaboration with Javier Celaya, founding partner of Dosdoce.com, who has acted as academic director of the programme. The objective of the GSR Foundation with the organization of Audio Day Parix is ​​to help professionals in the Spanish-language markets (Spain, Latin America and the Hispanic market in the United States) to learn about the latest international trends in the sector, discover good practices and lessons learned, as well as to establish contacts for future business opportunities in the world of audio-entertainment (podcasts, sound fiction, audiobooks, etc.) “Through this annual meeting, our ambition is for the PARIX school to be an instrument for the Spanish book sector to decisively launch itself into different audio-entertainment formats (podcasts, audiobooks, sound fiction, audio-series, etc.)” declares Luis González, general director of the GSR Foundation.

Over the last five years, more than 430 entities that represent this audio-entertainment industry have created more than 100,000 podcasts and nearly 25,000 audiobooks in Spanish, among other formats, compared to the scarce audio content in Spanish just ago. a few years, according to the first edition of the Audio Industry Map in Spanish published by Dosdoce. In order to foster the growth of this new industry, as well as encourage greater creation of original content in sound format, the Ministry of Culture has just announced this January a public aid package, the total amount of which amounts to up to 8 million euros, for the promotion of the audio sector within the framework of the PERTE de Lengua Audio Space.

The financial package aid included in the Audio Space will be allocated to various modalities:

🔶 Incubation, mentoring or project acceleration programs.

🔶 Professional events and cultural exhibitions related to the podcast.
